There Has Reportedly Been Talk Of WWE Veteran Becoming A Manager In The Future

WWE is reportedly considering a significant change to Nikki Bella's on-screen character once her current in-ring run concludes. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been internal discussions about transitioning the former Divas Champion into a managerial role.

Dave Meltzer reported that while Bella is currently active as a wrestler, the idea of moving her into a non-wrestling role is being discussed for the future. The specific timeline for this transition was not confirmed, but the report indicates it would happen "down the line," suggesting it is a long-term strategy rather than an immediate change.

"There has reportedly been talk of transitioning Nikki Bella to a heel manager role down the line," the report stated. This move would allow Bella to remain a featured television character while reducing the physical toll on her body.

Nikki Bella returned to WWE competition earlier this year, appearing as a surprise entrant in the 2025 Women's Royal Rumble match. Since then, she has been a regular fixture on Monday Night Raw. Her return initially saw her competing as a babyface, including a feud with Becky Lynch over the summer.

However, Bella underwent a significant character shift on the November 10 episode of Raw. She turned heel for the first time since 2018 by attacking Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer following a title defense. This turn has re-established her as a heel in the women's division, a persona she successfully portrayed during her record-breaking run as Divas Champion in 2015.

A transition to a managerial role aligns with Bella's history of neck issues, which previously forced her to step away from in-ring competition in 2019. By moving to a ringside role, WWE could continue to utilize her microphone skills and star power without requiring her to take bumps on a full-time schedule.

Bella has previously shown an aptitude for this type of work, having managed her sister, Brie Bella, and former partner, John Cena, at various points in her career.
